A sul-coreana Samsung Electronics produz o processador principal, bem como os chips de memória flash e de memória DRAM que armazenam música, fotos e outros dados do usuário. Os chips respondem por US$ 76,25 do conteúdo de semicondutores em cada iPhone de 8 gigabytes. O processador se baseia em uma tecnologia licenciada da ARM Holdings, do Reino Unido.

A Balda, da Alemanha, em associação com sua parceira chinesa TPK Holding, fornece o módulo de tela, que custa cerca de US$ 27.

Epson, Sharp e Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology fornecem o sistema de tela sensível a toques, que custa cerca de US$ 24,50.
